Week 14:

Deposit your Worry

Thursday, March 3, 2011

“Our worries reveal much about us.  Those who have trusted God, and are transformed by His Spirit understand that the only way to obtain satisfaction in life is to invest in someone else’s kingdom; the kingdom of God.”

How do we trust?  What does it mean to place or concerns on Christ and rely on Him to come through and satisfy our longings?  How can I continue to trust when it seems that life has been harsh and unfair?  When my deepest longings seem to go unmet?  Worry is a constant part of our lives.  Many of us struggle to control our anxieties only to fail and fell the overwhelming angst of not knowing.  Matthew 6:25-34 addresses this issue and invites us into a new level of reliance on a Saviour who cares about where we are and the needs of this life.  Listen along as Dr. Bill Brown President of Cedarville University walks us down the difficult path of entrusting our worries to the only One who can handle them.
